Adding catalog items in Tracktile involves understanding the different types and their roles within your production and order management processes. This guide will help you grasp the distinctions among the types and guide you on how to add them effectively.
🛠️ Catalog Item Types Explained

There are 5 primary types of catalog items available in Tracktile:
- Products
- These are items produced within your facility, often as the output of recipes. They represent the goods you create and can sell.
- Ingredients
- Ingredients are raw materials you receive from suppliers to produce your products. They are the building blocks of your production process and inputs of your recipes.
- Packaging
- Packaging materials are also sourced from suppliers and are used to encase your products, either for protection, branding, or both
- Chemicals
- Chemicals, received from suppliers, can be used alongside ingredients or products to create a product or packaged product.
- Packaged Items
- These are your final goods, ready to be sold and shipped to customers. Packaged items are the end result of combining products with packaging, possibly alongside chemicals, to prepare them for sale.
